Being a boutique business owner is Northern Colorado has really allowed me the opportunity to fully immerse myself into my community. I have been able to partner with many other small businesses in and around my Town of Windsor, and that unity has given the bandwidth needed to give back in big ways.

As a new member of my chamber, I look forward to establishing further connections that will help give back to my community.

Northern Colorado is bustling with like-minded entrepreneurs and this is an exciting time. Even as COVID-19 hit us all in a huge way, myself and other business owners were able to persevere while still giving back to our communities. It was an amazing time of pause, reflection and restructure that will only make us stronger moving forward.

At the start of COVID-19, I began hosting small business owners for #giftcardmonday in a live Zoom call each Monday until the lockdown lifted. This outreach of support was all in a effort to bring needed cashflow to businesses that found themselves standing on unfamiliar ground. I was astonished with what I was witnessing. The sheer tenacity of our community to get creative with the way they were doing business and activate new protocols quickly and efficiently. Check out their stories here.

To find out how rich you are, you must first count the things you have that money can not buy.

Grandma Lois warnke

My son has taught me so much about giving back to our community through his black belt training in martial arts.

For Cale’s first degree black belt he logged over 40 hours of community service. As a minor, I accompanied him and together we helped the disabled with their yard work, helped to gather small stuffed animals for the fire department, fed veterans at the House of Neighborly Service, supplied food for the hungry and took over 70 beautiful flower bouquets to our assisted living center, Columbine Assisted Living.

I could not have been more proud watching my son speak to over 300 people at his black belt immersion weekend. His tenacity inspires me daily to strive to not only be my best, but also give my best in everything I do.
